Salman Khan is a Capricorn by sun sign, as he was born on December 27th, 1965. Salman’s full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, who made his acting debut in the year 1988 with the film “Biwi Ho to Aisi”.
Known for a chiseled muscular body, Salman is a heart throb of million hearts all around the world. Sallu is 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighs around 74 kilos. Maximum of his fans are females who are from the age of 13 to 45. After making his debut in Bollywood, Salman got his big break when he acted in the film Maine Pyar Kiya which was in the year 1989. Bhagya Shree who made her debut in the same film was also appreciated for her acting and dancing skills. Personnel life
Salman Khan is the eldest son of Salma and Salim Khan. Salma Khan was his mother who died in his childhood. Salim Khan who was a celebrity screen writer married Actress Helen who was a famous Bollywood actress of yester years. Though Helen is a stepmother to Salman Khan she treated him as her own son and so Salman respects her lot even today. Salman has two younger brothers named Arbaaz and Sohail Khan and two sisters Alvira and Arpita. Alvira is a happily married woman to Actor cum Director Atul Agnihotri.
After venturing out into films Salman got an idea of Body building and so took up body building as a pastime. He is very much famous for taking off his shirts on stage shows and in the movies of his own and so has the fan following buzzing around him. The year 2004 won Salman the accolade of 7th best looking men in the world and was voted as a best looking man in India by a prominent magazine.
In the year 2007 on October 11th, Salman Khan accepted an offer from the Madame Tussads wax museum which is in London and a wax replica of his was installed on January 15th, 2008 making him the fourth actor to be honored from India.
Controversies
Coming to the love life of Salman Khan he is still an eligible bachelor of bollywood. His romantic flings with Aishwarya Rai, Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani ended up after a brief period. Since 2003, Salman Khan is dating Katrina Kaif who is a model turned actress of bollywood.
Aishwarya rai filed a complaint against Salman for harassing her and her parents in the year 2002 after the break up. It was also reported that Salman threatened Aishwarya’s parents and forced them to accept the marriage of Him with Aishwarya Rai.
In the year 2002, on September 28th, Salman was arrested by the cops on the case of drunken and driving. One person was killed and three people were injured when his car rammed into a bakery after crossing the foot path.
For shooting down endangered Chinkara (specie of wild Deer) on February 17th, 2006 in Rajasthan, Salman was sentenced to a 5 year jail term on April, 2006. He was released on bail, but again on august 24th, 2007 the Jodhpur court held up his bail and again sentenced him to jail. But on august 31st, 2007 he was released on bail from Jodhpur central jail.
On September 2007 and 2008 a Fatwa was issued against Salman Khan for celebrating Ganesh utsav in his home. Salman’s father intervened in the issue and criticized the Fatwa and challenged it in the Muslim cleric court
