Priyanka Chopra, the young and elegant actress was born on July 18th in the year 1982 and so holds a sun sign of cancer astronomically. The former Miss World and one of the top actresses of Bollywood achieved her stardom at a very early age and her latest release “Fashion” exhibits her acting skills to the most.
Priyanka Chopra was initially a Miss India and then later on participated in the Miss World contest in the year 2000. She is an award winning actress and has achieved her stardom on the basis of her hard work and dedication.
Ms Chopra is 5 feet 5 and half inches in height and weighs around 50 kilos and has a perfect body structure matching the likings of every audience internationally. She is some times compared to Hollywood pretty looking celebrity Salma Hayek and looks beautiful in western and Indian outfits.
Priyanka’s personnel life
Ms .Chopra is the only daughter of Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu who were in the same profession of medicine. Priyanka has a brother named Siddharth who is 8 years younger to her and is pursuing his career studies in medicine.
Dr. Ashok Chopra served for the Indian army and so Priyanka spent her childhood in Bareilly which is located in Uttar Pradesh and in Cedar Rapid in Iowa. Priyanka’a father was a person from Punjab settled in Jamshedpur while her mother is a Bihari Kaysatha family.
Priyanka Chopra pursued her school education at St. Maria Goretti in Bareilly and in her childhood visited United States to further complete her school education. She studied in Newton North High school located in Massachusetts and then pursued her further schooling in North Delta Senior Secondary School in North delta. But in the middle of her studies she again returned back to India and got admitted herself in the Army School in Bareiley
Meanwhile, Priyanka had a strong passion to become a Miss world and so after joining in Jai Hind College in Mumbai, she groomed her self well and won the Miss World pageant in the year 2000.
Priyanka was the fifth Indian who won the Miss World crown and the fourth Indian to win the title in the span of 7 years. At first she achieved the Miss India world titled and then later on with her witty brains and beauty she was crowned the Miss World title.
Priyanka’s relationships
- Priyanka Chopra was in love with actor Harman Baweja initially, but after the release of Love Story 2050 she is said to be parted her way with the actor.
- She was linked with Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Bobby deol, but the link ups were all media cooked and the actress was found innocent later.
Priyanka’s film career
In the year 200, Priyanka Chopra won her Miss World title and after that she was flooded with movie offers. But Priyanka was not in a mood to sign them then and there and was still considering her acting profession. In the year 2002, Ms Chopra signed a Tamil film titled Thamizhan which was alongside actor Vijay. The movie marked her debut in the acting industry and saw her as a play back singer for the movie. The movie was an average hit and so Priyanka won just laurels and accolades from the film industry.
In the year 2003, Priyanka’s Bollywood film titled The Hero: Love story of a spy gave her a Hindi film debut. The movie was a success at the box office and thus Priyanka earned her actress status in style.
Then her next film Andaaz with Akshay Kumar released and exposed the acting talents of the sexy beauty and also earned her Film Fare best female debut award.
In the subsequent year i.e. 2004, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge was the film which was a super hit at the box office. In the same year, Priyanka won a Film fare in the best villain category for the film Aitraaz. The movie was a remake of Hollywood super hit Disclosure which had actress Demi Moore in the lead. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor were her co-stars in the movie. Priyanka played the character of a boss to Akshay Kumar who accuses that she is being harassed by her co-employee Akshay Kumar.
In the year 2004, Priyanka joined the league of Shahrukh, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherji and Arjun Rampal and was a part of Temptation 2004 which was a world tour tailored by the bollywood stars.
After her films like Krishh and Don- The Chase begins, Priyanka played vital roles in the films such as Salaam-E-Ishq, love story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho and Chamku which released in the years 2007-2008. But all the films were either average grosser at the box office or perfect failures.
Meanwhile, in the year 2008, Priyanka was featured in the much hyped and discussed film DRONA which had Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. Priyanka played the role of a body guard to the hero, but the movie lost its run in the first week itself.
Meanwhile, another movie titled Fashion was released on October 29th, 2008. The movie was about fashion world and the hidden glitches in it. Priyanka won critical acclaim and was also appreciated for playing the critical character with ease.
