Kareena Kapoor holds the sun sign Libra as she was born on September 30th, 1980 and is a well known Indian film actress. Kareena, who is also called as Bebo is a sibling from the prestigious Kapoor Family. She has an elder sister named Karishma Kapoor who is also nicknamed as Lolo.
Kareena made her debut in the year 2000 with the film Refugee. This was also the debut film of Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek. But though the movie fetched Kareena the best female debut award, the movie was a dull dud at the box office.
But now in the beginning of the year 2009, Kareena is considered as the top actress who is filled with oomph and acting skills and her remuneration has peaked up to 3-4 crores per film.
Kareena’s personnel life
Bebo was born in the Kapoor Family which has the roots in Punjab. Kareena is the youngest daughter of Babita and Randhir Kapoor and is a granddaughter of Raj Kapoor. Prithviraj Kapoor is great grandfather of Kareena and so Rishi Kapoor is a paternal uncle to Bebo.
After Bebo was born, the lack of compatibility in the Kapoor Family forced Babita to venture out and seek a job in order to look after her two children Bebo and Lolo. Babita did various jobs until Karishma who is the eldest took up acting in the year 1991. So, Kareena herself admits that her childhood was full of struggles and had a tough time in her childhood.
Bebo pursued her schooling in Jamnabhai Narsee School which was in Mumbai and later on joined Welham Girls Boarding school in Dehradun. Bebo pursued her graduation degree in Mithibai College and Vile Parle and later on joined in a three month course in micro computers in Harvard University.
Suddenly Kareena got a lot of interest in pursuing law and enrolled her name in Government Law College in Church gate, but later on she joined in Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting institute in order to full fill her dream to become an actress.
Kareena’s love life
Kareena after her debut in the year 2000, through Refugee, started dating Shahid Kapoor who was son of Actor Pankaj Kapoor. When the couple became intimate during their love tangle, an onlooker filmed the kissing scene between Kareena and Shahid Kapoor and the video clipping was scandalized to public through Multi media messages.
After the releases of Jab we Met in the year 2007, Kareena dumped Shahid Kapoor for unknown reasons and the broken relationship ws disclosed by the media reports. However, till date the two allocate a friendship in between them and greet each other when they meet in award ceremonies.
From September 2007, Kareena is dating Actor Saif Ali Khan and the two are said to be serious about their relationship. From December 2007, Saif is willing to marry Kareena, but the latter is holding the ceremony at pause and is postponing it till the year 2010.
On October 18, 2007 Saif and Kareena walked over the ramp of Lakme Fashion week and disclosed that the two are in love with each other and will make their relationship official.
Meanwhile, in the initial months of the year 2008, Kareena and Saif locked them in a wash room and came out after 40 minutes. Saif disclosed to the media that he was having cigarette in the bathroom while his beau was using the wash room. This lead to a controversy that the two had a brief pleasurable session and a housekeeping worker recorded the whole session on video.
Kareena film career
Kareena Kapoor made her acting debut in the year 2000 with the film Refugee. Initially she was featured in the film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain opposite to Hrithik Roshan. But bebo denied the film as she taught that the hero was getting the attention the most in the film. But this film became a blockbuster hit at the box office.
J.P Dutta’s Refugee which featured Bebo as a female lead and Abhishek Bachchan was also making his debut through this film. But the movie was a dull dud at the box office.
In the year 2001, Kareena got her first break opposite Tushar Kapoor in the movie titled Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hain which was a sweetly carve romantic film directed by Satish Kaushik. The movie was a Telugu film remake and was a musical blockbuster.
Bebo’s next hit was with Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which was a super hit and collected almost 80 crores at the box office. Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Kareena were the lead in this film. It was a sentimental family drama and Kareena played the character of “Poo”.
After a series of regular Hindi film masala, Kareena bagged the role of Geet in the movie Jab We Met opposite to Shahid Kapoor. The movie was directed by Imtiayaz Ali and was a comedy and a romantic subject. Bebo plays the character of a lively sikhni character and has won most of the film fare awards in the best actress category.
In the year 2008, Kareena was featured in the film TASHAN which had Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in the lead. Bebo galvanized a size zero shape for this movie in order to drape a Bikini. But the movie proved to be rubbish at the theatres and box office.
In the month of October 30th 2008, her next film Golmaal Returns was released which had Ajay Devgan in the lead. The movie was scrapped as a comedy genre and was a sequel to previous hit film Golmaal. But the movie was lost at the box office.
