Though initially, Charmy’s parents were little bit hesitant for taking up acting as a career, but now they have gathered immense fame and respect in south India through their daughter’s success. Charmy is said to be a loving daughter and them and has an elder brother. Since, she is the only daughter in her house; she was pampered a lot in her household.
Charmy is accompanied by her mother to her film shootings and also nowadays she is accompanying her, to film functions and award functions. Her father who is a petty businessman in Punjab is taking care of the finances and dates of his daughter.
With look of a Telugu girl, Charmy has attracted many producers and directors with her charm and has topped the number one actress charts for almost a year.
Recently she was involved in a controversy for wearing chappals in front of Khairtabad Ganesh, which is a lord Ganesh idol which is placed in Khairtabad, Hyderabad, and Andhra Pradesh which is in India. but later on she apologized to the Ganesh samithi and the controversy was then and there ended.

Charmy Kaur was initially linked to Actor Vishnu Vardhan and his brother Manoj Kumar. They proposed to her in front of their father Dr. Mohan Babu. The senior actor was fumed with the sudden surprise and then and there he ended the love story.
Charmy is from then linked to ace tollywood director Krishna Vamsi who is a married to actress Ramya Krishna. Many gossips about their relationship were published in the media and it was said that Charmy was the reason for Ramya Krishna and Krishna Vamsi’s marriage break up.
Charmy later on purchased a luxury flat in the same building of Krishna Vamsi which made this news even more cemented. Later on it was also published in the news channels that the two were going to marry soon. Charmy later reacted to the media articles and said that she respects Krishna Vamsi as a mentor to her and has nothing personnel with him.
In October 2008, Ramya Krishna disclosed that she is now happy with her director Husband Krishna Vamsi and the both are now happy.
Then from early 2008, Charmy was linked to music director Devi Sri Prasad who is a well known young music composer.
Charmy’s Film Career
Charmy Kaur started her film career at a tender age of 13 years and played the role of a young married wife in her debut film. The movie was Nee Thodu Kavali and was a decent hit at the box office.
Then she tried her luck in Tamil films and made her Tamil debut opposite to young star Silmanbarasan in the movie Kadal Azhavatillai which was below average film at the box office.
Then the luck turned the table towards her and she was roped into the film venture of director Krishna Vamsi. She played the female lead in the Telugu movie Sri Anjaneyam which was super hit. Charmy played a glam doll role in this movie and draped Parkinis and cholis in this film. The movie was a decent hit at the box office.
The year 2006 was a big success for this beauty as three of her films were released in three days. Style, Lakshmi and Chukkallo Chandrudu were the films which brought her some fame. The movies were decent hits at the box office except for the last one which was opposite to actor Siddharth.
She was awarded a film fare award at the Santosham awards ceremony in the best actress category. The film which fetched the award was Anukokunda Oka Roju and was a well carved drama with suspense.
