Malayalam
Asin made her debut in the film industry with a Malayalam film titled Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in the year 2001. She was just 15 years at that time and acted well in the film which offered a brief and perfect role to the mallu beauty.
Telugu Film Career
Asin then took some time recoup with her studies and was back to the silver screen after a year and half gap. She was seen in the Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi which was a super hit film and Actor Ravi Teja was the hero in this film. Puri Jagannath directed the movie with some perfect hit ingredients and so the movie became a super hit at the box office. She fetched a Telugu film fare in the best debut actress category and then she acted with Shivamani-9848022338 which was an opposite Actor Nagarjuna. The movie was also a super hit.
Later on she was seen in Gharshana and Lakshmi Narasimha as a female lead and Asin was seen as a beloved of Police officers of ACP cadre.

Tamil film career
Asin was seen in the year 2004 as a debutant in Tamil cinema with the movie “M Kumaran –Son of Mahalakshmi. This movie was a Telugu film remake and became a blockbuster in Tamil film industry. Jeyam Ravi was the hero in this movie and the movie revolved around mother sentiment.
The year 2005, brought a tremendous zing in the life of Asin as her movie Ghajini was released in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Surya Siva Kumar was the hero and Nayantara played the second heroine role in this film.
In the year 2007, Asin was seen in the movie Pokkiri which had Illayapathi Vijay in the lead. The movie was a super hit movie and was a action and musical blockbuster.
Then in the year 2007 ending, Vel was the next movie of Asin with Surya Siva Kumar in the lead.
